This specialty 'U' shaped blade has a 1-1/2" long bent leg that tapers to a point. It's designed for plunging into auto glass sealants specifically where the windshield meets the hood to facilitate your 'do-it-yourself' removal project.

Having a sharpened knife edge front and back, this blade is best suited for slicing the urethane sealant along the very bottom edge of the windshield. The bent leg of this blade will be guided by the operator along the inside glass surface where it can cut the windshield free from the sealant bed.

ATTENTION: Extend the cutting effectiveness of your 'U' blade by keeping the knife edges sharp and spraying soapy water into the cut zones. Set your machine speed to high and hold your machine so that the blade tip points slightly toward the glass.  This adjustment will allow the blade's knife edge to use the glass surface to get a little scissor action into the cut. 

Attention: First time users who need to remove a good windshield without cracking for a same glass reinstall, should practice a few times first.  Each user needs to establish their most comfortable speed and machine hold technique for a clean removal.

WARNING: Please take note: This cutter is only recommended for experienced multi-tool users. Even slightly aggressive cutting of urethane sealants will put extremely high working loads on your multi-tool.  Please listen to your machine when using this cutter to avoid motor stalls or total burnout failure.
